Super Bowl Teams Opt for Tranquil Lake Las Vegas Retreats
To shield Super Bowl contenders from the bustling allure of the Las Vegas Strip during the week leading up to the February 11 game at Allegiant Stadium, the NFL has arranged accommodations away from the famous boulevard.
Jon Barker, the NFL’s Senior Vice President of Global Events and Live Production, revealed during a recent Clark County Commissioner meeting that the AFC and NFC representatives will be lodging at distinct properties in Lake Las Vegas. The AFC team will find residence at Westin Lake Las Vegas, while the NFC team will call Hilton Lake Las Vegas home.
This strategic move positions the teams approximately 25 miles away from the lively Strip, where numerous Super Bowl week events are scheduled to unfold. The only public appearance for both teams during the week will be on Opening Night, set for February 5 at Allegiant Stadium. During this event, players and coaches will engage in media interviews. The NFL anticipates a crowd of 20,000 fans at Opening Night, emphasizing its focus on providing a unique experience for both the public and Las Vegas residents.
In terms of practice venues, the AFC team will utilize the Raiders’ facility in Henderson, while the NFC team will conduct their preparations at UNLV. The orchestrated separation from the Strip aims to ensure the teams’ undistracted focus on the game, adding a layer of tranquility to their Super Bowl experience.
