Las Vegas has secured its rodeo legacy as the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo will continue to call the city home until 2035. The Las Vegas Events Board of Trustees and the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Board of Directors jointly made the announcement, marking a historic day for the rodeo community.
PRCA CEO Tom Glause expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “This extension will benefit all aspects of the PRCA, including our contestants, stock contractors, committees, contract personnel, and our fans. This commitment by Las Vegas preserves the momentum that we have established over the last 38 years.”
LVE Chairman Bill McBeath highlighted the dedication and collaboration involved in securing the extension, emphasizing Las Vegas’ commitment to both the NFR and the sport of rodeo. The financial details of the agreement will be disclosed at a later date.
LVE President Tim Keener reflected on the positive impact the NFR has had on the city, bringing millions of rodeo fans to experience the NFR over the past 38 years. The new ten-year agreement is expected to further enhance the partnership between Las Vegas and the PRCA.
The NFR, renowned for selling out 360 consecutive performances, showcases top talents in various rodeo disciplines. The 2022 event drew a total attendance of 173,350 over ten days of thrilling competition. Looking ahead, the 2023 NFR is scheduled to run from Dec. 7 through Dec. 16 at the Thomas & Mack Center, continuing the tradition of excitement and excellence in rodeo.
